VON HAGEN DESIGN

von Hagen Design has been an internationally reliable partner for exhibition stand building and shopfitting for nearly 30 years. Our innovative team of architects and interior designers carries out projects from the initial idea through to construction and implementation. With our modern production facilities and graphic works, an extensive selection of furniture and fittings, and our committed I&D team, we offer best support to our clients projects.

In 2020, von Hagen Design impressed EUROSHOP visitors with a simple, dark stand concept with clean lines in an area of 460 sq ft.

The design was driven by an emotional experience in Nepal: Getting up in the early morning for climbing the summit just before sunrise. Clear air. Silence. Harmony and a perfect balance between soul and body. “We were just sitting there, watching how the sun slowly came out from behind the mountains. I realized the harmony of the elements. My first impression was to freeze this moment for our next show.” The mountains (stone). The sun and the prayer flags in the sunbeams (light). The simple cottages (stone and wood) of the locals and the perfect balance (beams) of this valuable moment.

The realistic replica steel beams, suspended from fine wire cables to create a free-floating effect, were the main attraction at the stand and instantly gained the instinctive curiosity of visitors. This unusual composition was inspired by the installation “White Anger, Red Danger, Yellow Peril, Black Death” by Bruce Nauman from 1984. It offered an inviting and open conversation starter, and at the same time symbolized balance and a connection between the different aspects of the company, in the interaction between design, architecture and production. The high-quality finish of the beams bears witness to the company’s craftsmanship and technical expertise.

Two alcoves provided acoustic seclusion for holding conversations while allowing participants to remain part of the event. Intelligently manufactured furniture allowed optimum utilization of the space for promotional items and catering. An additional half-open seating area, equipped with monitors, was provided for longer meetings.

The scene was framed by a perfectly coordinated LED lighting concept, strikingly reproducing the company’s corporate image with all three signature colors and shapes. This lighting created high brand recognition, standing out from the 16.4 ft high slate wall and illuminating the stand. In addition to brochures, the new magazine and high-quality monitors, the presentation media also included tablets for presenting individual company information and references.

The exhibition stand has been international awarded for several times.
